ABOUT US

We’re Ned and Kaitlin.

By the grace of God, my husband and I have both been given a second chance at a life rooted in freedom, healing, and purpose. Through faith and hard work, we were able to break free from cycles of abuse and alcoholism—and step into something entirely new.

That transformation didn’t stop with us. It shaped how we live, how we love, and how we create. Guided by God’s direction, we’ve learned to trust the process, extend grace, and offer the same sense of safety and renewal to every part of our lives—including the fur babies we cherish.

Seasons of 2nd Chances was born from that journey. Our designs are spiritually motivated and created with intention—to encourage faith, inspire hope, and gently remind others that no matter their past, redemption and renewal are always possible.

We are growing daily—together and in faith—and sharing our story to motivate others spiritually, creatively, and personally. Our hope is that every piece we create serves as a reminder that a second chance, guided by God, can be the beginning of something truly beautiful.

Thank you for being here and supporting our journey 🤍

Meet the Heart of our Home

Elliot was our first fur baby — our whole world in a wiggly, gray bundle (in 2016). We always knew he deserved a sibling, and our hearts were set on rescuing.

In 2018, Nala came into our lives with her sunshine spirit and instantly completed our little family. Our sweet girl crossed the rainbow bridge July 2025 💔🌈 in her home surrounded by her fur siblings, her favorite toys, and the ones who loved her most.

They weren’t “just pets.” They were, and still are, our children. The ones who sat by us through every season, taught us patience, loyalty, softness, and the beauty of choosing love again and again. They’re the heartbeat behind so much of what we create and a huge part of why Seasons of 2nd Chances exists.

Nala is no longer physically with us, and losing her broke a piece of our hearts that will never be the same. But her joy, her sweetness, and the light she brought to our home live on in everything we do.

She is still part of our family — just in a different way now. All of our fur babies have taught us that second chances matter, love heals, and family is something you build with intention.

Their lessons, their love, and their spirit continue to guide this shop every single day.

Ira & Becki are both rescue cats from the streets of Philadelphia.

Ira was a tiny fluff ball of a gray and white 4 week old kitten when we found him, along with his 3 siblings (in 2018). As we fostered them they were in the best care of Elliot and Nala, especially Nala, her maternal instincts kicked right in. The other three went to amazing homes and we knew Ira had a forever home with us!

Becki girl, our little black kitty, came to us when she was about 9 months old (in 2019). She was, and still is a spicy girl! She is not big on human touch but she sure loves her fur siblings and her mama. She is loved, safe, and is learning what trust and comfort looks like.

Milo and Poppi are the newest little lights in our family — two tiny souls who arrived right when our hearts needed them most.

Milo came first, full of charm and curiosity, and Poppi followed with her gentle spirit and big, expressive eyes. Together, they brought a new kind of warmth back into our home.

They don’t replace the babies we’ve loved before — but they’ve added to our family in the most beautiful way. Milo with his goofy confidence, and Poppi with her shy sweetness… both of them reminding us daily that joy can return in unexpected ways.

Just like Elliot & Nala and Ira & Becki, Milo & Poppi aren’t “just pets.” They are our children, our constant company, our everyday smiles.

Their personalities, their comfort, and the love they bring into our home continue to inspire the heart behind Seasons of 2nd Chances. They’ve taught us that healing has many forms, love expands, and second chances are always worth embracing.

Our little crew — old and new — is the reason this shop exists and the heartbeat behind every design we create

Every life here is a reminder that healing takes faith, intention, and the willingness to do the work.
